Stetson Turner wants nothing more than to graduate high school and escape his small, humdrum hometown. When an ominous intruder appears in his house late one night, his wish is granted. Stetson is taken to Incantor, an odd town that seems to have been plucked straight from 19th century England and dropped in the present day. Even stranger than the cobblestone streets and lack of electricity are the inhabitants. Stetson soon finds that the townspeople, including himself, are not at all normal. Mystics, werewolves and vampires lurk the streets of Incantor, playing for either side in a war that Stetson must prevent. Before he can run away, Stetson is drawn into a feud that centers around his noble birthright as the head of Incantor and those who would use their powers to tip the scales.
