❝When He becomes Ram, She becomes Sita. When he becomes Krishna, She becomes Rukmini. In all the incarnations, Goddess Lakshmi is always inseparable from Lord Vishnu.❞ -Vishnu MahāPurāna 1.9.144 She was the beloved princess of the prosperous kingdom of Vidarbha. She was only a maiden, when she lost her heart to the hero of the Chandravanshis, Vasudev Krishna, the enemy of her eldest brother Rukmi and his allie Jarasandh, the Emperor of Magadh. She decided to go against her brother, Rukmi who was using her as pawn to win the favours of Emperor Jarasandh, by getting her married to Shishupal, the Crown Prince of Chedi. The princess of Vidarbha made her choice. She would not bow down to the patriarchy and wrote a letter to Lord Krishna to take her with him, to Dwarka. Beautiful, intelligent and virtuous. What if Karna had a daughter with his third wife Uruvi? What if she also shared her father's fate? What if she was also abandoned at birth by her parents? What if she had to fulfil her mother Uruvi's unfinished duty of uniting her family? What if she had the same fire like her mother Uruvi? What if she had the same boon like her grandmother Kunti to call upon any God? What if she had her father's gentlest soul and eyes? What if her destiny was attached to a son of God herself? What if she had to be reared by her stepmother Padmavati? What if she had to unite her two loving brothers Karna son Vrishaketu and Arjuna son Babrubahan? What if she had to be cursed like her father Karna over and over in her short life? What if she had to die at tender age with her own husband? This is a purely fan fiction story and is based on my imagination. The identity of her mother Uruvi was fictional hence she was also a fictional character. Read the story by keeping this in mind. I don't want to hurt anyone's religious beliefs and sentiments. This is my original unpublished story and purely fan fiction. It was till now not published anywhere except here neither by me or others. The pictures are taken from the public domains. All images courtesy: Pinterest, YouTube and Google Chrome.
