Chapter 1: Crush
Speedy walked to the side of the pool that Aqualad insisted be put in no matter what, or he wasn't going to stay there. Speedy, was in his regular uniform, he wore it overly too much, probably because it was too comfortable than anything he would wear when not fighting crime and such. He saw Aqualad swimming laps throughout the pool, his form was so perfect as if he were a dolphin almost, he laughed silently to himself for the thought. As he began to sit down he tugged his boots off and pulled his tights up to his knees. He slid his bare legs in the slightly cold water he swirled his legs around to get used to the temperature. He got lost in his thoughts watching Aqualad complete his daily laps, why didn't he just watch him swim everyday? Oh he knew why, he remembered as soon as he looked down to his pants. That boy drove him crazy, sadly the other male didn't know anything about this crush, they didn't get along that well but somehow were pretty good friends.

His faces flashes with regret but it's quickly covered up with his faces going back to it's hard cold look. I feel my heart stop and my face go pale. His look terrified me making me hold my breath. "Breath." He orders. I start to breathe again and just blink at him. "Now go." He orders me again. I flinch involuntarily at his tone and jump back slightly. "Please don't let me walk home alone." I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. "I just can't walk home alone, please I'm scared." I hear him chuckle. "You aren't afraid of me? What can possibly be scarier than me?" He asks. "Well, I know you will keep me safe." "Why is that?"
