"Do they not say that a good friendship builds on a ground of lies?" I joke, lightening the mood immediately as his green eyes glint in humor and a smirk falls on his familiar lips. "Do you kiss a lot of your friends, love?" The underlying tones threaten to provoke a blush on my cheeks, but I get myself together. Smirking at him, "Well, of course, is that not the norm?" *********** Dakota Moore is the perfect example of a beautiful disaster. Her wisdom is ready to knock anyone down, her self worth is an exact replica of the way her father raised her, and her pain so intense it screams over every building. She refuses to show anyone what's going on behind closed doors, especially when her lovely father gets the traumatic news that he has an incurable disease. Elijah Black is the spur of the moment kind of guy, he's the one no one ever settles with because of his angry outbursts and rude ways. Even though he throws everyone off, except for when they want sexual advances, he still can't help but feel enthralled by the freckled girl who's hiding so many secrets behind a fake smile. As they clash and try to reject the obvious rush, will they accept their attraction, or is everything just too much? After all, how can two ruined teenagers manage a youthful love without destroying themselves in the process? Phoenix's Deceptress Wife by redauza

BROTHERS CODE SERIES 1 R18+ Phoenix despised Hailey from the moment they got married. If it weren't for the money his grandfather had promised, he never would have agreed to the marriage. Their union was nothing more than a means to an end, a business arrangement forced upon him for the sake of his financial gain. He made a vow to himself on the day of the wedding: he would do everything in his power to destroy their relationship and end their marriage. He wanted nothing to do with her, and he was determined to make her life miserable. Phoenix believed that if he pushed her hard enough, she'd leave on her own, freeing him from the commitment while still securing the fortune he was promised. His plan was simple: expose the woman Hailey really was, or at least, the woman he assumed her to be. He believed she was nothing more than a manipulative gold-digger, someone who had schemed her way into his life for her own personal gain. In his mind, he was the victim, and Hailey was the one who deserved to be humiliated and cast aside. But as Phoenix carried out his plan, something unexpected began to happen. The more time he spent around Hailey, the more he realized that the image he had created of her in his mind was far from the truth. She wasn't the cold, calculating woman he thought she was. Instead, she was kind, strong, and resilient-qualities that began to challenge everything he had believed about her. The moment of truth hit him like a freight train: he had been wrong all along. Everything he thought about Hailey, everything he had convinced himself was true, was a lie. And worse, his actions-the cruelty, the distance, the manipulation-were beginning to backfire. The real question now wasn't whether Phoenix could end the marriage, but whether he could fix what he had broken. Could he make things right before it was too late?

My breathing becomes heavy. "Yeah, well you're not getting me" I tell him sassily however my voice comes out breathless. He chuckles lowly and moves closer to me. His breath becomes more stronger and the cold air becomes more prominent. His hand trails up from my wrist up my arm. His fingers goes under my sleeves caressing every inch of my skin. I close my eyes as I let the sensation overwhelm me. Then, out of nowhere, I feel his other hand creep under my shirt. His hand reaches my hip and he massages it. I feel him lowering his face closer to my ear. "I think I already am" is all he replies back with and he kisses my ear. I let out a shaky breath.» ♧︎ Blythe Slater has faced a lot the past two years.
