After losing his younger brother, Leon spirals down into depression and ends up ingesting pills which make him regret his decision. he ends up waking up in a city, a city called Nøhrae which is also known as the city of the dead. Leon takes on a new identity and name, Cheri. He ends up finding his brother but he is chained to Nøhrae's ruler, Caedes and is unable to get back to the land of the living. Will he be able to get his brother back or not?
