Two years ago, Rukia Kuchiki left the World of the Living and the boy who changed everything about her world. She never expected to come back like this.
Sent by the Soul Society on a mission she cannot refuse, Rukia returns to Karakura Town with a single order - eliminate the growing threat within Ichigo Kurosaki before his inner hollow consumes everything and everyone around him. Including herself.
But the Ichigo she finds is not the one she left behind. He doesn't remember the Soul Society. He doesn't remember being a Soul Reaper. He doesn't remember her.
And yet somehow, his heart already knows her name.
Torn between her duty and everything she feels, Rukia must ask herself the one question she has spent two years running from - how do you save someone you love from themselves?

After being attacked in the world of the living, Ichigo must try and find the culprit in the Soul Society. Update: It's finally finished. I really hope you enjoy this. This story has meant so much to me, as does the show and the characters. It's given me a renewed interested in fandom, and writing again. To anyone who has read this. Thank you. They were close but Ichigo moved closer. He was still holding Byakuya's arm, but now he was chest to chest with him. He felt his heart pounding in his chest and his stomach was in knots and all of these feelings and doubts were abrupt and dangerous and he felt the thrill of it all sing in his heart. "You fight," he whispered back, unsure of what was happening. Ichigo moved slightly, back into Byakuya's line of sight. The Captain of the 6th Squad almost moved a step back, as he had seen that look on Ichigo's face before; a sword held in his hand and a desperate need to fight. It was almost feral and it was certainly dangerous and Byakuya held his ground. "Damn right I do." Hi, everyone, this is my first story written in a non-native language such as English, let me know some of the grammatical errors or anything, but I think I can handle this by myself. If I weren't I probably wouldn't be doing this, hehe. Just kidding, let's do this Note: This is a re-work/re-write of The Soul Society Tournament, a former Bleach fanfic written in Spanish. The story is the same, but with a little things slightly different from the original work The characters aren't mine, they belong to Tite Kubo, creator of the manga/anime series Bleach It has been two months since the end of the Thousand Year Blood War and the battle against Yhwach and his Quincy's army. Both Karakura and the Soul Society live peacefully and quietly until, during a binge party to celebrate the two months of peace organized by the commander captain Shunsui Kyoraku, this one had a wonderful idea: gather some of the strongest Soul Reapers and make them participate in a 32 fighting tournament. Hitsugaya is in charge to notifying about the tournament to Ichigo and Rukia who are currently living in a rented apartment. Later then, he gathers some of his friends along with Rukia, Yoruichi and Urahara to participate in the tournament.
