━━━━━━━━━━━━

It's September 1939, and the Howarth siblings are woken early, told to get dressed. They're evacuating, Mother says, for real - it's not a drill anymore.

It's nothing of the sort.

Kit might not be living in the same house as his siblings anymore, but he's got other things on his mind. From the strange tension between their hosts' daughter and his friend to the rumours of strange disappearances over the summer, life in Vinmire seems a lot more dangerous than home. Even if Hitler does want to bomb the city... it's nothing certain yet, right?

But the bodies of girls that start turning up are real. Horrifyingly so. And if Kit can't work out who's behind the murders, who's to say that his sisters won't be next?

What can you do about it when nobody knows how trustworthy you can be? When nobody believes that you're worried about the goings-on before your arrival?

When nobody but your classmates really know who you are?

She appeared to have knowledge of her daughter's past life! Charlotte tries to solve the mystery of her daughter's death and the peculiar girl. She gets trapped in a morbid time machine which travels her to 1945, the year on her daughter's death, to try to save her from the events. Could this all be a coincidence or just some weird hoax? ----------------------------------------------------------------- Everyone has there own secrets. Some are dark and morbid, even when everyone in your town talks about it. You swore to secrecy that they wouldn't tattle, but you sometimes can't trust them, even if something goes terribly wrong that the truth has to be uncovered.... Warning: contains violence in some scenes. I have no interest or intention in actually killing someone or something. This is just a book I like to write and criminal minds in the '40s-'60s got me thinking of writing my very first book (which is this one). Also, some sensitive topics include religion, so viewer discretion is advised. Enjoy reading this book. Thank you so much on reading this! I appreciate it! A/N: this is my first story ever. 🌚🌝 y'all this is my first story ever. pretty crap, if I do say so myself. so I apologize if the story and it's events is pretty confusing. It's super cringe and weird, because I made this a bit ago when I wasn't even a teen yet. ➪ started: 4/12/21 ➪ published: 4/14/21 ➪ finished: 10/11/21

Murder Members of a very old society have held their families together over the years. Doing whatever they deemed necessary to protect their own. Even if it meant committing murder. After loosing their sanctuary to a traitor, hatred burned through their veins. They bid their time and grew even stronger as as they waited for the right moment to retaliate. Upon the discovery of the murder of the leader's sister, the secret society wanted blood. The leader was pulled into two different directions. One to find the bastard who killed his sister. Another to find the girl who holds the key to either destroy all that they have worked for or win the deadliest of wars ever seen in history. Supercilious self-absorbed Amy (17) has the uncanny ability to get others to do what she wants. She says, ever so sweetly, "I'd prefer..." Dad always called it "wrapping others around her little finger syndrome." If she wanted she could ask a perfect stranger to hand over his car keys and he'd have to oblige. The oldest sister Meg (21) has dreams and visions about the world's near future. She's also very intuitive. Perhaps if she were better at seeing her own future maybe her personal life wouldn't be in shambles?
