Just one rainstorm. Just one flash. Just one bolt of lightning. You’re probably
wondering what I’m talking about. I have one word for you: Max.
13-year-old Max Mason, an ordinary boy from Johannesburg, South Africa, has
his life turned upside down when he is struck by lightning one fateful night.
Through this he gains superpowers and becomes a threat to the king of a
whole other world, the Other Dimension.
Max is captured and taken to the Other Dimension, where he learns that it is his
destiny to stop the world from being overcome by evil. It is there that he meets
five others. Together the six form a group that is indestructible.
Max is taken on an epic journey of both fight and flight, of both love and hate, of
forgiveness and redemption, of self-sacrifice, of learning the value of life and
love while discovering who he is and exactly what he is capable of.
The apocalypse is coming, and Max knows that he is the only one who can stop
it.
But will he be able to, or is the fate of the world too heavy to rest on the
shoulders of a thirteen-year-old boy?

Vinicus isn't happy about having to fight a child, but he can't let Max find out. After all, super-villains can't be "good people"... Can they? We can't all be born heroes. To Max he doesn't think himself as being anyone who has an important role in the world, Max thinks he's normal but not normal enough to fit in and that he will never rise to be something better than normal.
