Project Freelancer. Many people saw it as a corrupted project that focused only on holding onto as much advanced technology and equipment as was possible, or as the greed of a man desperately trying to replicate his dead wife.

The truth is, it is a system of highly trained men and women who are on a mission to stop groups of terrorist organizations, while still looking over the people they protect with pride and joy, as well as a small wish to have the simple lives that they had.

The chance for that came much sooner for the agents when Agent Connecticut, more commonly known as C.T., had stumbled upon a small boy named Y/N L/N, former last name Rose. Y/N wasn't like other civilians though, he had been in the hands of the Insurrection, the group who had sought to daemonize and destroy Project Freelancer, and the group C.T. had been secretly giving information to.

C.T. found out that the group she had been lead to think as resistance against a corrupt agency was actually a pure terrorist group, and were using Y/N to make a deadly and brainwashed to obedience super soldier, and had performed many forms of grotesque and horrendous experiments on the child.

When she and the other agents freed Y/N from his awful captors, they learned that he had been abused and neglected all his life by the ones who he thought would love him forever. His old home was on the planet of Remnant, on a small, peaceful island called Patch. But to Y/N, it was anything but peaceful, as his family had given him the same treatment as the Insurrectionist.

With nowhere else to send him, the Director of the project allowed Y/N to say aboard the Mother of Invention, and even let the other agents train him. But while he's there, will he find love from the ones who saved him? Or has that very feeling left Y/N's heart?
