Everyone has hard somewhat of a hard time in life, some more than others. But Charlotte, being born on Eventide deemed her a cursed child, just like her sister, Morrigan.
To leave the horrid family, you would need to get voted on bid day, and as she was a cursed child, she expected none, but her name was called out twice, which meant two votes for Charlotte.
One of them a total fluke, the other the real deal. A chance to go to a society that would love, cherish and adore her. She jumped at the chance, but she had to make it into this society, and only 7 candidates out of hundreds a year accepted.
As well as the fact she died the evening before she went.
