This work deals with themes of comphet, depression, etc. Please refrain from reading this if any of these topics trigger you.

Angela is an overworked student living in New York, just trying to get by and get her diploma quickly.
She's just average, nothing to be dumbfounded about. She has a small group of friends, she smokes and she has a crush on the boy in front of class.
But when she feels more saddened by being transferred to Ireland than by heartbreak she realizes something in her isn't what she thought it was.
And when by reading a book she ends up in an olden Celtic village watched over by the Goddess of death herself, she realizes there's more to this world than what meets the eye.

"The Old and Ultimate Book of Celtic Romance and Folklore?" Angela couldn't hold back laughter. "That is such a long name, who would name their book such a ridiculous thing?"

She is Fatal to Death (Standalone Story) by writeraliciagonzalez
50 parts Complete
She's dead by the third chapter. Okay, it's a bit more complicated than that. Okay, it's A LOT more complicated than that. Renata wants nothing more than to pay her bills through her mildly boring office job and figure out whether she is still in love with her best friend. The latter half of that desire is just a sneak peak into her messy life-and it's only getting messier. Considering the paranormal world she is about to dive head first into, she will come to realize that figuring out her heart may just be the easiest part of this journey. Well, the endless supply of supernatural hotness in this story may beg to differ-but that's besides the point. Either way, it's gonna be a killer time ;) EXCERPT Chicken tacos it is. Right as Renata grabbed the ingredients, she turned to put them next to the stove, where a clean, plastic cutting board awaited. But as she moved, she was confronted by a stranger, an intruder, standing mere inches from her. Before she could scream, he was on her, slamming her against the fridge. Her back flashed with sharp pain. Her eyes pricked with fear as she drank in his uncovered face. Deeply tanned skin. Ruby red eyes-ruby red eyes? Thick, slashing eyebrows. Flat, broad nose. Buzzcut. Handsome. That was as far as she would go in complimenting him considering this guy held a knife to her throat. When he spoke, his voice came out like thunder. It held a thousand threats and a thousand secrets. It held promise of pain if provoked. "If you scream," he warned, mouth pulled in a slight snarl, "this ends quickly." She didn't dare nod against the blade. He noticed and amusement lit up for just a second in those devilish eyes. Oh, whoever the fuck this was, she already hated him. Considering her predicament, panic was the most prominent emotion coursing through her at the moment. "Good." He removed his hand "Now you're going to answer my questions." °°MATURE AND EXPLICIT CONTENT OF ALL KINDS, AND I MEAN ALL KINDS°
The Gifts of Mortality by eleanorkennedy14

The gods have no pity for humans and their impermanence. Why would they care for lives measured in years, when time marches into millennia for them? The immortals stay in their city. The humans remain in their parts of the world. That is until a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death, forcing her to kill their enemies and increase their power. All immortals keep their backs turned on humanity. Except Samil, the God of Festivals and the Arts. Samil knows he isn't very powerful among his kind. Or important. Or confident. Yet, when he learns that the humans are desperate, he chooses to do a deceptively simple thing: Help them. ___________________________________ @Voyageavecmoi was kind enough to write this review of my book and she described it 100x better than I ever could lol. With her permission, I'm posting it below. Also, check out her book "Flight Risk." It's a sweet and deep romance about two characters negotiating their feelings for each other while life is doing everything to tear them apart. The characters have such mature conversations and, there's no reliance on the miscommunication trope at all. I'm *obsessed.* If you enjoy intriguing fantasy novels with deep and thoughtful themes, check out 'The Gifts of Mortality' by @eleanorkennedy14 . It explores the concept of mortality and how it gives life meaning through the eyes of both gods and humans. The story follows Samil, the god of the Festivals and the Arts, who is shocked by the apathy of his fellow gods when a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death. Despite finding no support among his kind, he's determined to help the humans, which sets him down an interesting course. There are lots of great twists in this novel, and I also loved seeing how queerness was worked in throughout both the immortal and mortal realms. Samil is a sweet and refreshing character to root for who is determined to see the good in the world.

Love is strange. It exists in many forms and is one of the key components that makes humans happy, but there isn't a lot of understanding surrounding it. At least not the kind of understanding with which the average person identifies. Agnes is one of the few people that can accept all kinds of love. Despite her dated name, she is a woman in her late 20's dealing with the death of most of her family. She's now stuck in the middle of figuring out how to raise children that she never saw in her future and deciding what love means for her, when it has to exist within layer upon layer of complication. She let go of her boyfriend after almost a decade because their love wasn't meant to exist under the strain of children, only to find herself confronted with the overpowering connection of her old high school sweetheart. The same man she ran away from because their values hardly aligned when it came to how love should be expressed long term. Within the midst of learning how to raise children and balance her ever-building career, Agnes tries to recover from her mother's death, seek comfort without complicating her circumstance, and figure out why her mother would name her Agnes. Finding real comfort starts to feel impossible, as her most available options are her ex-boyfriend and her assistant. Completed! Rejected 6 times** "This one just isn't for us." By far the most plain rejection I have ever received and I can respect it. 1/22/2022 - 1K 9/28/2022 - 10K

Aline, a 23-year-old in a historically ambiguous- though 1690-resembling- France has worked in her family business her whole life. Her family helped found the largest criminal organization in the area so she grew up with a hardened personality. While on one of her jobs she is trapped and forced to sign a contract that forces her to work for a year under an enemy corporation. While away from home she discovers that the world outside is much different than her home. Making more mistakes than she thought possible, she attempts to try the waters of living apart from her family for the first time and leaves a series of disasters in her wake. Featuring some fluffy romance, bad humor, and an illegal gay wedding, this book has a lot of lighter themes. However, some darker themes are included. I advise proceeding with caution for those triggered by the following: Violence, gore, rape (not graphic), some slurs (no n-words or the like), prolonged sexual abuse, mental/emotional abuse, physical abuse, prostitution, symptoms of PTSD and themes of depression as well as brief periods of suicidal thoughts and/or actions. If any of these bother you I am more than willing to send you rewrites of any triggering chapters that avoid triggering subjects without messing with the plot so that you may still read the piece. Simply message me which of the above triggers you have and I'll send edited chapters accordingly. *THIS IS NOT GRAMMATICALLY EDITED AND THERE IS NO SET POSTING SCHEDULE. Teaching The Bad Girl To Be Good (Lesbian Story) by Golden_RJ

"Is it a turn off?" She flashes a grin, revealing her perfect white teeth, inching her face closer to mine. Oh no, she's definitely flirting, and suddenly my palms are sweating. My heart pounds because I know I can't play her game. Not because I don't want to, but because-well, I'm not into girls. At least, I thought I wasn't. "I don't know. I can't really explain how other girls feel about it when you date them," I shrug awkwardly, trying to keep my cool. She chuckles softly, shaking her head, and the air between us thickens with tension. What's her game? "Forget other girls. How do *you* feel about it?" she presses, her voice low and teasing. I shift uncomfortably, squirming under her gaze. "If I were a lesbian, then no. No, it wouldn't be a turn-off," I stammer, feeling the nervousness creep up my spine. "You sure?" Her voice is honey, tempting. Meet Jay Alden, 23 years old and still figuring life-and love-out. She's always been straight... well, more like straight as a squiggly line. That is, until Ky Guery entered her life. Ky, a confident 22-year-old who's comfortable with her sexuality, flirts with ease and has Jay questioning everything she thought she knew about herself. Ky's carefree attitude and playful charm make Jay feel warm, giddy, and utterly confused all at once. One moment she's sure she's straight, the next she's drowning in Ky's kisses, wondering if maybe, just maybe, she's been wrong all along. But falling for Ky isn't just about self-discovery-it's about trust, too. Jay's been burned before by a smooth-talking ex-boyfriend, and Ky's playful ways sometimes remind her too much of that heartbreak. She's caught between the thrill of something new and the fear of getting hurt again. Does she dare open her heart, or will Ky's unpredictability push her away for good? Jay's journey is one of love, confusion, and self-acceptance as she navigates the messy middle ground between what she thought she knew and what she's starting to feel.
Wild Magic Three: The Shade of the Earth- a M/M fantasy shifter romance by herellwrites
32 parts Complete Mature
*****COMPLETE-- Book three in the Wild Magic Series. Sequel to By the Light of the Moon and The Dark of the Sun, but can be read as a stand-alone. The Shade of the Earth is a M/M, May/December, gay-for-you romance with fated mates, knotting, and a bobcat shifter with a small stature and big spunk.***** Robert has been surrounded by men attracted and romantically involved with other men for most of his life. He accepts his friends, defends them, loves them... but has never really understood them and their attraction to other men. Now, a diminutive bobcat shifter, with all the spunk of his feline counterparts, nameless and without a family or home, has claimed him as his mate, refuses to leave his side, and somehow forces him to see sex and attraction in a whole new light. But just as things are beginning to fall into place for Robert and his Sami, will they have everything ripped away by a dark figure from Robert's past? ************************************************ "I'm confused, Sami. This is... a lot. I've never been attracted to a man. I like women- I don't like men! Please understand, all of this is a lot for me." "I'm not men," the shifter whispered, a single tear dripping across his temple and back into his curly, ragged hair. "I'm your Sami." The words had the breath in my lungs freezing painfully. I stared down into his simple, open face, and had a sudden, near-violent realization. Sami ran on pure, feral instinct. This didn't make him stupid, it didn't make him simple of mind. It made his desires and thought process easy and pure. He wanted me, I was denying him. He couldn't understand any other reason for me to do this other than his own inadequacies. He didn't understand the laws of attraction as humans saw them. He saw only that I was his mate. And I was denying him.
