Meredith Black spent her childhood under the dominion of her family and the status of her last name. In spite of the expensive dresses, public fame, and privilege. Meredith Black has yearned for more, but goes beyond what her family deems acceptable. For her giftedness has become a burden for her longing to transcend her own precocity.

After defying the crushing expectations of her bloodline, Meredith finds herself under the care of one of her father's greatest friends. Spending the next few years working alongside him on completing an extraordinary invention. As they near the end of a creation they have longed to perfect, the moment finally has arrived. After three decades, The Time Machine is set for testing.

Alongside two of her colleagues Cedric Burberry and Sophia Hart, they are set to be the first testers of The Time Machine. As they experience unforeseen circumstances, they spend the next year exploring the year 1898, exactly twelve decades from 2022. And as they do so, they encounter a farm, seeking shelter from those within it.

But what happens when it's time to go, but one's emotions overrides all their plans?
