Shane recently moved back to Stardew Valley to raise Jas, his "goddaughter", with the help of his aunt Marnie. Due to a seemingly large amount of shitty life circumstances, Shane tends to abuse alcohol pretty heavily and struggles badly with depression.
Although he is very focused on creating a good life for his goddaughter, he often gets in the way of his own good intentions, such as spending the last two years there pushing people away and avoiding anything that could overcomplicate his life or potentially hurt him, drinking, being an asshole, working a job he hates, sleep & repeat.
Despite his stubbornness to become close to anyone, a drunk encounter with the town's new farmer leads him into a kind of friendship with her.
Several months later, Shane is afraid to face that he might have feelings for her, just as expected from Shane, the second he begins to feel emotional vulnerability he pushes her away.
This story is what happens afterwards.
When she thought of her life as an artist, Aisleigh thought it would be absolutely divine. Her years at school did not prepare her, however, for the amount of work she would have to do getting herself "out there". Feel bogged down living in Zuzu City, she comes across an old letter left by her grandfather. Without a second thought, Aisleigh quickly quits her job at Joja Corporation and moves out to the countryside to her grandfather's farm, Ebony Acres.
Excited to make a fresh start, the harsh reality of starting over hits her square in the face. Trying to keep a brave appearance, she works tirelessly to rebuild Ebony Acres up to it's former glory. When she sees a star twinkling late at night, it seems to be fate that Sebastian would stumble upon her land. He is rough around the edges, his words are sharp. But, something about his distant personality only makes her think about him more. Will she create her happily ever after like her grandfather wanted or will someone else take the flame away?
