Seeing a year indicating Regulus' death on the tapestry was unforeseen by the entire family. Orion, however, didn't want to give up hope that somewhere, out there, his baby boy was alive.

Disclaimer - I don't own Harry Potter. This was written for the first regular Froday challenge for the month of May and is a companion piece to the other one I wrote for this month as I wanted something that wasn't anywhere near the tear jerker the other one is although whether Regulus is alive or not is open to the interpretation of the reader. Part of the idea also came about because the idea popped into my head regarding there being some kind of truth to what Doris Purkiss said, yet the fact she couldn't tell the difference between Regulus and Sirius is also meant to tie into her being a rabbid fangirl of Stubby Boardman.All Rights Reserved
