This is a short story that I wrote for my creative writing class. My professor really enjoyed it and said I should enter it into some writing contests, so I thought I'd publish it here to start. This is a creative nonfiction piece that is based on a true story about the time I had an irrational "cancer scare" and how my mom helped me get over it, hence the title "Doctor Mom." My goal for this piece is to give readers insight into the context behind my hypochondria and to ultimately show readers that cancer isn't a death sentence. Yet again Darkness is hungry for a war to end it all, but Light will always have troops at the ready. One girl. One kingdom. Eleven friends. Four Elements.
