There are several things that could cause an apocalypse - a worldwide war, plague, zombies even. No one expects mutated monsters AND a robot uprising to both team up and end everything. 
The two took out over 90% of the world population in the span of two years.
The first to arrive were the mutated monsters. A few mammal species caught a highly contagious disease that mutated them and caused them to grow much larger. They didn't take too kindly to us humans trying to quarantine them and kill them so they fought back. That was the first year.
Second year is when the robots emerged, originally manufactured for the public as home assistants, but reprogrammed as pest control for the mutated creatures. However, there was a glitch in the programming and they ended up turning on their creators. That's when everyone gave up and just tried to survive.
It's been six years now. Asher, a stubborn loner, decides to go off on his own. He leaves the safety of the boarded up shopping mall he and a small colony of people were using as a safe haven. 
What he didn't hope for was to meet a girl out in the wild of the apocalypse, let alone be saved by her.
And Emma, she certainly wasn't expecting to find such an oblivious idiot waving around a gun like a dinner bell.All Rights Reserved

The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden. Greedy... and prideful... we'd do anything to achieve our goals... even if it meant ending the world... Despite the population reducing to an absolute needle size... humanity didn't give up... And now.... something else seems to have appeared... something that would affect everything..

They said that "Changing is part of LIFE.", at least that's what the CSD (Change and Save Department) used to say. They thought they created a "cure". A cure to save many people's lives from sickness, cancer, and all. Unfortunately... They were wrong. It was fine at first... However, their first test subject? It was for no good. Instead of a cure, they made a "virus". The virus is incurable for now. Many people protested against the CSD and the government. It changed.. but it was never saved... They said that once they bit you, in an hour the virus will spread throughout your body and kill you, then you'll be alive but not like you used to be. There are many survivors, but there are also many who have been turned into monsters. They call these monsters, "zombies". The CSD promised that they'll find a cure, but much-lost hope, lost hope for being alive, lost hope for survival. A 17 yrs. the old girl was in between that. Everything might sound and look horrible but she never lost hope for survival. "I'm running out of food.." she kept on talking to herself since there was no one but her. She saw a grocery store nearby so she checked it out if there were food, and fortunately, there was. She stuffed the food in her bag until she heard something. "Is someone there?" She asked, she hoped it wasn't what she thought about but there it was. The zombie's legs were twisted so it will have a hard time catching her. However, she never encountered that close. She stuffed the last food in her bag and ran. She ran to the girl's restroom. When she opened the door there were zombies! It almost caught her but fortunately, nothing happened to her. She ran back but there were more! "Please don't say this is how I'm going to die!" She said to herself. Is she going to die? Who will she meet? Will they survive this cruel world?? It was the year 2055 and the few remaining people on Earth were still fighting to re-take back the planet from the Undead. The monsters who brought back these beings from the dead were Angels. There reasons for this massacre, that's lasted for decades, was to punish the humans for all the wrong they've done. Killing each others, polluting the Earth, all the violence in the world. There was no end to it all, none. The Angels were sent in to punish us by the Almighty Man himself. No and's, if's or but's about it. He sent them down right after World War III in 2015 was coming to a close. The Humans never saw it coming, though they were warned plenty of times. But of course we never payed attention or ever thought of them as warnings for the worse, just a reason to cause more violence and destruction of the World. So I guess in a way, the Almighty Man made it worse for everyone, instead of warning us he just screwed himself up..... Looks likes its time to clean up His mess.

It's funny, really. It's funny how as kids we always played these zombie games and thought it would be so cool to be in a zombie apocalypse. We tried to figure out who out of our friend groups would die first, and who would live to the end. We were fascinated as young boys by the shooting games where you would blow a zombie's head off without a second thought. They were monsters. Nothing more. You barely thought of how they were once human. Because they weren't. It was just a game. Or it was just a movie. But when it became real life, you could see the family photos of the zombie you just killed. You could see the dead children who had been beaten to death by their own mother. The same mother whose skull you just bashed open on her kitchen floor for trying to rip your jaw apart. They were all once alive. And the outbreak ended their lives. They could have been your cousin, your friend, your neighbor. It could have been you. But you hold on to the fact that it wasn't. And because of that, you go on. ___ Set in 2037, two years after the worldwide bacterial infection called The Cure started, Mason Martinez and his two buddies try their best to survive in this post-apocalyptic world. But when Mason finds out about a so-called "safe zone" about 4 cities from where he stands, Mason strives to find it. Even if that means he has to cross the 4 main factions of his area. The Lab Coats, The Mercenaries, The Raiders, and the worst of all, The Salvation. And to find this safe zone, Mason is willing to do whatever it takes.
