She nodded. The knot in her stomach tightening at the thought that she might have to run from the people who are her family. 

But that wasn't the only reason why she felt her insides were being squeezed. He warned her not to tell anyone.

 How could she confess that she already had?

"No," he called back to her. "Please, Sirius!" He turned around, his eyebrows furrowed together. "Please?" he said. "Sirius? What's the matter with you today?" She looked down, avoiding his eyes. "Curse me!" he continued, edging closer to her. "Hex me! Go on, yell at me! Get your book back! You never let me push you around!" She stayed silent, her nose tingling and eyes becoming misty. "Talk to me," he said. She jumped, not realizing just how close he had gotten to her. She could feel his breath on her face, his body smelled clean, like soap. He placed his hand under her chin and lifted her head so she had to look at him. "Ditch class with me."
