Lya has never been one to capture a guy's attention for too long, but she's never truly cared to either. Mending the wounds from a recent situationship, she's in no hurry to look for anything further than academic success. After all, running the school's book club, working after school, and trying to keep her grades up is a full-time job in itself. She's simply too busy for love. That is, until an unexpected character swoops in and makes her feel as though she can slow down and take a breath without the world ending.

Kieran has never cared much for the opinions of others. His father thinks he's got a shot at playing football in college while his mother wishes he'd buckle down more in his studies so he can get into a university suitable for the Brannock name... he's just looking to enjoy his last year in high school before his carefree days slip away.

A chance meeting in a party intertwines the two in a way they would have never expected. He makes her feel seen in a way she's never felt before. She makes him understand that somethings are worth caring about. But fate isn't always in the favor of lovers. Can she keep the spotlight of his affection on herself or is she simply too tame for his wild gaze?
