Set in 1980, 7 years after the events of "Come Back to me Sweet Love of Mine". This story is as a continuation and spin-off, with Julian as the protagonist. While certain details in "Cake Boy" will make more sense if you read "Come Back to me Sweet Love of Mine", it can stand on its own. This story is highly inspired by "The Great British Baking Show", so if you love that show, you'll enjoy this story. Although set in Spain, I made a creative decision for all the characters to speak in English. Also, I've added asterisks to recipes that some may not be familiar with. At the end of each chapter, a description will be provided.

Summary:

17-year old Julian worries that he will forever live under the shadow of his father, John Lennon. Now at the crossroads of youth and adulthood, he's struggling to figure out who he is and what he wants out of life. In an attempt to distinguish himself from his father, Julian latches on to one passion that's completely separate from him: cooking. When a prestigious culinary school decides to hold a baking competition to attract new students, Julian is thrusted into an unexpected adventure of cakes, pies, and 10 extremely talented bakers. 
As the competition develops, he not only makes new friends but begins to develop feelings for one particular baker. While that relationship blossoms, Julian's relationship with John dwindles. Slowly, his insecurities and anxieties about his father, his future, and his feelings begin to affect him in ways he never imagined. With a father-and-son relationship under deep threat, a romance in the making, and a competition to win, can Julian come out of this unscathed and finally figure out who he really is? Note: This is my rewriting of history, and essentially a "what if" story. This fanfic was inspired by the movie "Thelma and Louise" and a Spanish film called "Dispara". Some of the dialogue is spoken in Spanish, although I'll try to add translation in the comment boxes. Also, this story goes to some dark places, including an attempted rape scene.
