{Kaz Brekker X Reader}

~Sequel to The Red Ribbon~

In Ravka, it is said that Saints live forever.

By sleepy lullabies or grand cathedrals, their names are continuously spoken. Their lives and accomplishments are eternally celebrated. They are never truly gone.

The Crows are scattered to the winds, their days of mad heists and security breaches are over.

But when a threat from the past arrives on Ravka's doorstep once again, it is up to the former theives to face a new kind of monster, and answer a question as old as time:

What truly makes a person a Saint?

"Just because you escape one trap, doesn't mean you will escape the next." Season one - Shadow and Bone Sabo was a Saint, born with the gift to summon sky-blue fire-something the Fjerdans feared enough to lock her away in the Ice Court. After her escape, Sabo has finally found something she never thought possible-a place to belong. Now, she calls the streets of Ketterdam home, picking up the occasional job for the Crows when the price-or the cause-is right. But when Kaz Brekker himself comes to her with a job unlike any other-one that involves finding a Saint-Sabo is forced to face the ghosts she thought she'd left behind. And this time, running might not be an option. Season two - Shadow and bone With unfinished business waiting in Ketterdam, Kaz must finally confront the shadows of his past and settle the score with Pekka Rollins. Meanwhile, Sabo finds herself in danger once more, hunted by the drüskelle who have discovered where she's hiding. Six of Crows It's been a year since Sabo left Ketterdam, and in that time, her world has changed. Her network has grown, quietly fueling the resistance against the brutal Fjerdan regime. While undercover for the cause, fate weaves her path back to Kaz Brekker. After seeing him she does what she's always done: she plans to leave Ketterdam behind. But then Kaz shows up again, offering her a job she can't ignore-one that hits far too close to her haunted past. Break into the very prison where she once lost everything... and break out a scientist who might just change the tide of the war. Crooked Kingdom Pekka Rollins had sold Sabo out to the drüskelle. Now she was caught in their grip. Long ago, she and Kaz had made a deal: if she was ever taken, he wouldn't come for her. No rescue. No risks. No debts owed. It was supposed to protect them both-to keep emotion out of the business they shared. Now, Sabo wonders if Kaz Brekker will keep his word. And somewhere in Ketterdam, Kaz is wondering if he ever meant to.

A few days after Alina and I escaped the clutches of my brother, the former Ravkan general of the Second Army, Aleksander Kirigan, we parted ways. I went with Kaz Brekker and his gang of thieves, affectionately nicknamed the Crows, back to Ketterdam, while Alina Starkov and her friend, Mal Oretsev, left for other lands beyond the walls of Os Alta. In Ketterdam, I made a name for myself, aiding Kaz and the Crows in all manner of criminal behaviour, forgetting that I was ever the younger sister of the Black Heretic. But I've lost everything I've ever known. I don't know where my mother or my dear friend Genya is - sometimes, this new life is unfamiliar and uncomfortable, especially within the tight, damp spaces of Ketterdam, this sprawling criminal town that seems so big and yet so small. Or within the base of the Crows that I sometimes call home - or the feelings that I seem to feel for Kaz Brekker. Kaz and I still don't understand each other, and I don't think we ever will. Alina and Mal set off across the sea, and from what I heard, they were going in search of the second of Morozova's creatures, the Firebird. Alina hopes that with the help of the Firebird and the Stag as Grisha amplifiers, that she might be able to take down the Shadow Fold for good. I know that my brother, Aleksander Kirigan, did not die that day in the Fold, and that one day he would come to exact his vengeance upon his lost Sun Summoner and all of Ravka. As Kaz prepares to unleash fresh hell on old foes, and as Alina prepares to hopefully end the terror of the Darkling once and for all, I myself am preparing for a war on both sides. A war to protect my newfound friends and family, the Crows, and a war to protect my people, the Grisha.
