After 17 years of being with her mother, Carnaval is sent to her Father's for a summer. She is clearly upset because it is already difficult to adjust to family, let alone her ill mother back at home.
When she leaves, she comes across a pond on Peach Tree Road. A road nearly abandoned. She meets a young boy who goes there alone and seems to be popular in town.
They are each other's only friends...but Carnaval can only stay 3 months, right?
