The Ark was dying, its Oxygen supply running out. With little options left the council decides to make a hasty decision to send the prisoners from skybox to the Earth's surface. Not only would sending the hundred give them time to fix the oxygen, but to see if the ground could once again be called home.

When the hundred land on Earth they find much more than they bargained for. Not only do they discover the safety of the air but that they were far from alone. There were grounders, survivors from the bombs, and the living dead.

Having been ripped out of her mother's arms right after being born a minute later than her twin, Wren Jordan was sent to the Sky Box on the Ark. Earth had changed drastically after the Nuclear War that wiped out 80% of the world's population. Several hundred survived in space, while the rest survived on natural selection alone. When the Ark begins to fail those that lived in space have no idea what had become of the world their Ancestors once owned. A world where the survivors- Grounders- thrive and rule in a way they could never imagine. One ruler, one system, and everyone falls in line. Those from the Ark will soon realize the new reality they will live in once their feet set foot on the ground. Can they fall in line to the Commander of Earth? With the idea of freedom, Hailey knows that she is never safe and that if weaknesses are shown, someone will use them against her. Will she be able to overcome her emotional and mental walls, even if it means that she'd be vulnerable? Being on the ground will change Hailey in ways that the people on the ark would never expect. She will find a better version of herself. Hailey will become what she was always meant to be, a warrior.
