In a world consumed by a shadowy plague, a city on the brink of ruin, a man named Jacob Lamik awakens with no memory. A young woman finds him, offering a desperate bargain: help her find a cure, and in return, she will help him find the truth about his past.
As they venture into the heart of the Darkness, Lamik begins to understand that his forgotten past isn't the only mystery. He discovers an unsettling strength, an uncanny resilience to the creatures that hunt them-a power that no one else possesses, an unexplained ability that allows him to stand against the very creatures that hunt him.
Lamik doesn't know who he was, but he knows what he is becoming. The cure is waiting, and the monsters are hunting. But the truth of his past is a secret waiting to be found, and finding it might just change the world forever.
