They had walked to hell and back but somehow they managed to emerge side by side, closer than ever before. The last six months had been trying to say the least but, having nearly lost her life for the second time in almost as many years, Kate was more cognizant than ever before of how fragile life could truly be. 

There was a point in time not too long ago when both of them weren't sure if their relationship would survive the pressure of their pasts and, whilst their path hadn't been without it's hurdles, both Kate and Hank had never been more thankful that they had decided it was worth it...that they were worth it.
