This was a story that I had in my works for so long. I posted this story back in 2014 and then in 2015 I had taken it down. Now whenever I went through my library I saw it, I always wondered why I didn't just get rid of it, but then I remembered that this was one of my first works and instead of deleting it, I should post it again, so I have one of my first still up here. So here you guys go. I really hope you enjoy it, though you may cringe majority of the time.

Tara's on the run and there no turning back. With her parents gone and no where to go, she is left running for the rest of her life. Until Aaron Walker. Bumping into him at a cafe, he seems to have a lot in common with Tara and some room at his place. Tara doesn't tell the Walkers about the DPU (Death Penalty Unit). An elite group threatening to kill anyone knowing of there secret. Some secrets are to be left hidden. But when Tara figures out something quite unsettling, she is forced to face the facts and keep hidden. Leaving Tara wondering if her life will ever be normal.

"The fuck you are leaving me." His roar cracked through the hall like lightning. Ara didn't blink. She stood there, calm as death, done to her core. No tears. No tremble. Just a weary exhale as she turned her back on him - the one thing he never thought she'd do. Before she could take a step, his hand shot out, gripping her arm like he was holding on to life itself. "Where are you going, Ara!" His command shook the pack. But she wasn't his to command. Not anymore. Ara ripped her arm free with a force that made even his wolf recoil. "Don't. Touch. Me." She laughed - sharp, broken, brutal. "Yeah? That's why you were fucking her in your office? Couldn't even hide the scent of your betrayal." "Ara, it was a mistake-" She stepped closer, eyes blazing. "Your mistakes come in episodes, Alpha. Season one, season two, season three. You don't make mistakes. You make choices." He swallowed hard. "I don't need her. I need you." "Lies," she spat. "Every damn sentence you breathe is a lie. I can't even look at you without feeling sick." He flinched like her words physically hit him. "That female behind you?" she pointed, not bothering to glance. "Perfect for you. Go mark her. Breed her. Hell, fuck her for all I care." Her voice cracked - but she kept going, blade steady even when bleeding. "I don't need you. Not anymore." His knees crashed to the floor. The mighty Alpha. On the ground. For her. "Ara... I'm sorry. I'm really fucking sorry." His voice broke like he finally understood what loss tasted like. She stared at him with a sad, devastating smile. "Isn't it too late for that, Mate?" Shadow Wagner The Slayer - Do I Belong? (Book 1)
This story is complete, though incomplete. For elaboration, I have completed it how I wanted it, in the sense of me working and chipping away at it to get it printed off for my father to read, seeing as he wanted to read, edit, and attempt to get it published (He had called a publishing company the other day about it). Incomplete in the sense that I don't have all the scenes I really want now more than I did when I was in the process of writing it. For example, in the previous chapter one, there was a small scene that had Aaren, Travis, Loyd, Scott, Gabe, and Xander fighting in Lord Sylvie's house. I had changed it so that they moved outside, seeing as I imagined Sylvie's house as a small, quaint house, so it would only make sense that they all fought OUTSIDE instead of INSIDE. Also incomplete in the sense that I strongly dislike the way I wrote it. I've gotten some 'inspiration' from my dad about (spoiler) killing her in the end, so I came back to change it before we went into really editing the pages (grammar, spelling, etc). That's all I really wanted to communicate with you guys, so if you remember something specific about the previous book, I changed it because I disliked how it wrote it.
