When the Blood Runs Dry

Wolfgang looked at the destruction around him, and got up from the ground. He hurriedly limped towards a figure, a dark figure. Rage coursed through his veins, and he limped faster despite the pain in his left knee. The figure just beckoned him closer. Wolfgang was glaring at him until he heard something that made him stop dead in his tracks.
"Remember." It came to his ear like a whisper, faint and desperate. He fell to the ground and wept quietly. Suddenly it started to get louder and louder, from whisper to shout, it whirled around him like a tornado of screams and death. He looked up to the shadowy figure and saw a malevolent grin, and he didn't understand. Then he recognized the voice...his sister Amelia, yelling a word that has haunted him for years, a word that could change everything, he just had to.... Remember.
