Born in the bleak empty recesses of the underworld, Devils have known nothing but excruciating boredom. The only source of entertainment comes from tormenting their own kind, and hopelessly wishing to venture into the living world. For centuries, that was all they can do. 

The Pitch-Black Devil known as Darkrai, dwells on the first level of the underworld. Many of his kin sees him as weak and frail, that is until he unleashes his magic. Powerful enough to combat High-Ranking Devils and even impress Supreme Devils. Darkrai rarely, if ever seeks out others to torment as he cannot gain any amusement or pleasure from it.

One day...

Fate smiles upon him, as the curiosity of one human leads to an interesting turn of events.
