When a normal teen wakes up to a loud, odd sound one night, she had no idea she was hearing the sound of a dragon waking up from a long fast. 

The dragon is immoral and stays invisible to the mortal eye, but every couple thousand years, the dragon wakes up from his fast and is noticed by one (at night). This is by the work of an ancient sorcerer. Although this dragon was spared, the rest of the dragons became extinct over time. 
 
 Although this teen thinks of the countless noises of her nearly sleepless nights now as just crazy dreams, she doesn't know what actually is going on. 
 
 
Will she figure out what's going on? Will she meet the dragon face to face? Will her curiosity put her in danger?
