Some call me the light of hope. Some call me the pit of darkness. Regular, Irregular...Slayer, Peacemaker...God, Monster... It doesn't matter what others call me. I am me. Only me. It's time I understand what that truly entails. I cannot keep climbing the tower for others...or with others. If there's one thing I know now, I MUST be alone. I cannot allow my selfish desire of being with others to hurt the people around me anymore. It's time I climbed the tower alone.

Events take place after the Battle at the Nest. The story is a continuation of Slayer Jue Viole Grace, where he decides to "abandon" his friends and starts to climb the tower alone as a part of FUG, as he did in the years following the fall on the test floor. How will this affect him and his friends, how will they react to Viole's decision, and how will they try to bring him back? (Because they sure as hell weren't going to let go of Bam without a fight)

A/N:
This story is from various perspectives and takes place soon after the Nest arc. It should be known that as of writing this, we are not through with the Nest arc (Chapter 535). I'm going to try to keep all the canon material up to this point, though obviously, my proposed end for the Nest arc won't be. Also, there won't be any clear main ships in this story and it'll be sorta ambiguous, as it is in the webtoon. "Almost Enough." takes place as Suguru is going through his mental spiral. He tried to leave Satoru and being a Jujutsu Sorcerer behind as a whole that summer when he realized all they were only needed for but Satoru didn't want him to because Satoru was clueless about this fact. So he convinced him to come back and stay and be a Jujutsu Sorcerer so they could be the strongest together. So now it's their third year at Tokyo Jujutsu High/Tech and Suguru hadn't gotten any better. He didn't try to make any progress once he got back. He would stay in his dorm, locked away from Satoru and their other friends while they were all training and getting better. So when their third school year finally started, he was still in shambles and he was considered "weak" and "less than" the rest of his friends. He didn't want this anyway, he wanted to leave and not come back. Yet he also wanted to make Satoru happy. So he stayed. This is the Wattpd public version of my fanfiction "Almost Enough." I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. There are a lot of meanings in this story with some of the things written.
