"And somehow along the way, I forgot what it meant to be prosaic."

Growing up as an news anchor's daughter in New York City isn't always the easiest thing. 15 year old Carter Williams is used to all of the hustle and bustle that comes along with city life. After her move eight years ago from a small family farm in Wyoming, she has traded her overalls and rubber boots for Uggs and Starbucks. Living in a flashy, unique, complex world, Carter has dedicated her life to making herself extraordinary.
Enter Everett Meyer. Tall, lean, and very much from Texas. When this country boy moves to the Big City, he brings a taste of ordinary, natural, prosaic living with him...a taste that Carter soon can't live without.
