Get ready for betrayal at every step, secrets kept, and murder just around the corner.

Clasher has been consistently told one thing since his childhood: Never let anyone know who you are. This, coupled with the fact that he's on dangerous missions half the time, doesn't let anyone find out anyway. But danger looms closer, and he will soon have to make a choice. Either keep his secret (and himself) safe, or risk it all to help his new crew.

TW: Blood and violence, mentions of su!c!de but does not go in-depth into the subject.

This book contains characters that are part of the Lgbtq+ community, in particular genderqueer characters, a gay relationship, and ace-spec characters. If you do not support any of this, please don't read or don't comment any hateful things in the comments. The point of including this kind of diversity is to help normalize this kind of content, not to be open to hate of any sort.

Rewritten chapters have started to be reposted as of 8/31/22. More details, half chapters, more chaos.

First published 10 May, 2022. Finished 02 October, 2022 (epilogue at 21 October 2022)

"We've learned from our mistakes, Altera. Enough blood has already been shed." "That didn't stop the start of World War III, did it?" "No. It didn't. But it ended it." "Human minds are just sacs of salt interacting with proteins. Even now, you live in a world of lies, where everything around you is a construct created by your mind. It betrays you. No wonder why you are all such messes." This is a monument to all of their sins. Many a time, evil was executed in the name of a greater good. While one would hope that humans would learn from the mistakes of our past, we are fickle creatures with short memories, horrible prejudices, and a habit of self-destruction. This is a testament to those who didn't have a voice. Who have a story to share, and yet never got the chance to. (A series of short stories taking place in the world of "Beneath the Ice," covering significant events from before BtI to after. Not labeled as an Among Us Fanfiction because events are not all specific to Among Us.) "Just send a message back to HQ. See what their response is." "I can't." The entire room seemed to stand on end. "What the hell do you mean, 'I can't'?! You're the captain of this mission!" Lime exclaimed. "I can't. When Blue and Orange came in, Comms had suddenly shut down." The room burst into panic and chaos again, but all Vac'shar could do was smirk. Hunter and prey. And now when the time to strike appeared again, they would be ready. Everyone is the hero in their own story. With the world stacked against him, Vac'shar has still managed to raise his son and protect him from anyone else who might try and kill them both. But when Tenavik shows interest in the missions, what else could Vac'shar do other than let him come along with him and advocate for his dreams? Who's to blame when the blood flows? "And if I fail?" I asked my handler. "We'll find someone else to replace you. But I don't think you'll fail. I've got several bets that are placed on you winning." I gulped. "Why?" "Everyone loves an underdog. Just don't blow my money. Kill that crew." I swallowed and forced my words out. "Yessir." Without a doubt, 3718's life was miserable. From birth, their entire life was geared towards becoming something to be used for another purpose. They were a part of a game in where they and another Impostor competed to kill off a crew for entertainment. Whoever killed the least amount of crewmates by the end was flatlined. Along with that, there was also the fact that 3718 had to worry about getting ejected and dying that way as well. Try and resist and you got shot. Get caught and you were ejected. Survive and you live with the knowledge that you ruined uncountable lives. In a race against time, against your own, what'll happen when 3718 gets a chance to escape it all? TRIGGER WARNING: death, blood, violence, heavy depression and anxiety, suicidal thoughts This book contains characters that are part of the Lgbtq+ community, in particular genderqueer characters, an ace-spec character, and a polyamorous relationship. "Congratulations, Miss Duri. You're leading the fifty-fifth voyage to Polus." My initial giddiness wore away under a new and frankly uninvited sense of suspicion. Only an hour ago they were set on selecting anyone but me. What made them change their mind so quickly? "We were wrong about you, Genesis," the woman said. "We now believe you have the potential to do what your unlucky peers could not. However, you should know that there is no room for mistakes." Nareem leaned forward and picked up his chin. On a normal basis, he was about as intimidating as a rabbit. Now, though, he was pretty close to the office cat's level. "Don't mess this up for us, Miss Duri. Otherwise the consequences will be a lot worse than death." --- Genesis has always wanted to lead a mission to the Polus Space Station, orbiting a Jupiter moon millions of miles away. While each attempt to get there has been compromised by the scheming, violent Conclave, Genesis's hopes to become the next captain of the Skeld have not once faltered. When she finally gets the opportunity of a lifetime, Genesis quickly discovers that, despite her caution, all is not what it seems. Her superiors have maintained minimal contact, and she has reason to believe any one of her crewmates could be an imposter. Once the killings begin, she must act quickly to outwit the Conclave before she and all her crewmates are murdered in cold blood. --- **The characters are original, but this story is based off a game called Among Us. The concept of spaceship crewmates being killed by an imposter does not belong to me, but to the game developers (Innersloth). They also came up with the names "Polus" and "Skeld", as well as the layout of the space station most of the story is set in and the tasks crewmates are required to do. ***Content warnings: murder, peril, mentions of blood
