She along with her mentor Will Treaty investigates the murder of the Gallican King Jacques accompanied by a trained from Norgate fief, but Gallica is a broken country and mere shell of what it used to be and Will and Maddie soon discover a murder case can soon turn into a race for survival. The answer lies down under.
