My take on how the Octonauts, well, became the Octonauts. I've always wondered how they have become since I was young and would watch the series with my younger sibling, especially ever since "The Octopod Mystery" episode aired, so I decided to write my thoughts down onto paper! Hope y'all enjoy!
Author's Note: In all my Octonauts works, Dashi will be speaking with an Australian accent (Original UK version) and Peso will be speaking with a Hispanic accent (US dub).
There is some shipping featured in the later chapters of this fanfic.

However, Shellington and Tweak maintain their trust in Barnacles, believing it was just an accident. But when Shellington is mysteriously poisoned a week later, tensions rise within the Octonauts. Tweak loses her trust in Barnacles, and Inkling, the team's founder, demotes the captain to a Detective-a role he struggles to embrace, being better at solving game mysteries than real ones. As time passes, Peso is miraculously found alive and uncovers proof of Barnacles' innocence. It becomes clear that the real target of the poison was Barnacles all along. With Barnacles himself falling victim to poisoning, can the crew save their captain and mend the broken trust, or will this new enemy tear them apart and snatch their leader away?Complete

Hi this is my first time doing my story and btw ShellingTon name's changed and inking's not there because he was shot by a stray bullet that the Octonauts have to find out who killed him and also Dashi's name is changed to dash and tweak's name is Twenkster.
