"Has anyone ever told you how the world came to be as it is now?"

A quiet snort before the answer, "'Course not, it's always been like this, hasn't it?"

"Well, you can believe that and head to bed now, or you can get cozy and listen to a story; one of friendship and betrayal, Markitesh and Shards, a Traveler's Gift and a Shadow's Bane, and how the Lost Ones came to be. After all, darkness is simply the absence of light, yet there's something about the Shadows that devoured the city's hope."

HEEEEEEEY IZ MA FIRST AU :D! Okay, technically it's my third, but this is the first PUBLISHED one (maybe-). I'm really excited for this story, because I have LOTS of ideas for world building and a good idea of what I want to happen for plot. There will be "Story POVs" and "Current Time POVs", but- even though all characters are connected in some way- they do take place in different periods of time. Yes, I did add Ezra in (if anyone even remembers who that is, lol-), and yes, there will be a good bunch of world building and likely a random character or two, not counting Lost Ones. Right, and concepts with be explained as time goes on. After all, that's the whole point of the book; to explain the story of how the world came to be the post-apocalyptic-type thing it is. Currently no trigger warnings, but this will likely be updated to have some as time goes on, so please be wary of that! Now, without further ado, I present to you "There's Something about the Shadows: A SockSquad/FoolishCrew AU".

Sometimes shit happens. Hey, it's not always your day, it's alright. One moment you're riding high, soaring above these mud-riddled plains with the king of mercs by your side, another, you're running far away from the crater he blew himself up in. You've really outdone yourself this time. W's dead, there's angel blood on your fingers and something itches to grow out of your skull. To pierce those gray curls of yours and bask in the twin moon's soft gaze. Something brewing deep within, eager to dim that halo forever and shatter your wings. A piece of you that's always been there, always hiding and growling, waiting for its moment to shine. So, hit the lights, Andy. Give it some stage time. Let yourself live a little. Throw out that Lateran jacket, put on some leather. Grow a pair of horns, befriend a fiend. Forget Laterano, forget Lungmen. Kazdel is your new home. And your new home's where you rightfully belong, you little rascal. Hellooooo people !! Here we are, a SPIN-OFF story of my "Curly Head" series, in which Andy actually went on that one job he previously ditched and got himself into quite a predicament. In this one, I'll turn the angst-meter down, I promise. W and Andy, happy times. :D This is, of course, perfectly fine as a standalone work, I think, but if you're new and wanna brush up on the lore then you can do just that! Series starts with "Goodbye Curly Head", rest is pretty straightforward. Summed up: thirteen year old boy from Laterano ships himself off to fight in the Kazdel Civil War for peacekeeping reasons, situation turns to shit at the end of his tour, forced to stay in Kazdel and make money as a merc, meets up the first W's crew at the age of sixteen, circus-slapstick follows. Ps: I'm not giving up on "Almost Green", only taking a small break and also delivering some much needed fluff-ish stuff. Tell me you thoughts in the comments, I tend to reply to every single one of them and love reading through them all! Have fun!
Rimelion: The Exploiter by MarekSusicky

What is reality? I was John-now Charlie, a woman with a VR game tester's cunning and a professional whiskey enthusiast's attitude. But then AIs have risen, and my job evaporated faster than last night's drink. Just when I hit rock bottom, this punk kid-barely old enough to shave-dropped a bombshell: "Reality's just a simulation." Sure, buddy. I laughed it off. Until I woke up twenty years in the past. Now, thanks to a hacking mishap, I'm a regular girl in reality-with a debt and an attitude-navigating Rimelion, the VR game I once mastered, as Charlie, an elven priestess with more than a few tricks up her sleeve. Seriously though, fighting in high heels? Will I claw my way up the nobility ladder? Dominate the rankings? Outwit the government and their plans to exploit us all? Maybe. But something's off. The game feels too real. My memories don't line up, and everyone has their own version of what's true. Simulation? Reality? The lines are a blur-and I'm stuck in the middle. If I want to stop a dystopian future, I'll need allies, both in-game and out. Oh, and avoid ticking off the AIs hunting me for bending the rules. Survival's a long shot-but I was never one to play fair anyway. *** What to expect: - Light LitRPG story with an emphasis on strategy and world-building - First-person perspective (and occasional close third POVs) - A witty protagonist with a conversational sarcastic, humorous and often self-deprecating voice - A sci-fi world with mysteries sprinkled with fantasy elements - A rich game world system with kingdoms, rules, exploits, and challenges - Supporting characters with personal goals Schedule: * Posting on RoyalRoad and Scribblehub, here after bulk is done

You're a demigod, a daughter of Thor. Being a demigod makes you pretty much immortal. No one knows why for sure, your mother has told you that a witch in New Orleans may have the answers as to why you were born, and has more information about your true father. But when you arrive in New Orleans, there is a war brewing between the vampires, werewolves, and witches of New Orleans. Somehow you play into ending the war with your ascension or the destruction of the city with your death. That is when you come across the oldest vampire family in the world. Klaus sets out to use you to take back the city from Marcel when his family and the supernatural factions find out who you are when you are caught in the cross fire of a fight between the Marcel's vampires and Elijah Mikaelson, which causes you to be injured to the point of death, you are healed and brought back to life by your father and acquiring Mjiolnir in the process, which seemed to find you in that moment. Soon you find yourself capturing the attention of Niklaus and Elijah Mikaelson. But you also capture the attention of the youngest Mikaelson brother when he arrives into town. [Read and enjoy! Please feel free to leave feedback.] [DISCLAIMER: I do not own any characters related to The Originals.] [In this fanfiction, Hayley is there, but she isn't pregnant. Also I'll have some of the dialogue and scenes from the show, but majority will have my own spin on it. Also, this is my first fanfiction like this, so please bare with me. I will also try to update as often as I can. The werewolves will play a key part in my next book, that will be a continuation of this one.] [Completed May 2020]
The Adventures of Nancy Drew (In Chronological Order) Season 1 by EmilineHoclair
25 parts Complete
Ok, this is pure fanfiction. If I tried to write an actual book with all these characters, I would get a copyright strike so bad that I would be blasted across the other side of the world and lose my writing ability forever. So, do not, in any way, think I'm trying to pass off some of Hollywood's most iconic movies and TV shows as my own. Because I'm not... XP. Anyway, I made this story up a LONG time ago, when I was about six or seven. I liked playing in the backyard and imagining I could go to other places. My second oldest sister at the time was obsessed with Nancy Drew. She read all the books, watched the movie with Emma Roberts like a thousand times, and played all the PC games. I guess that's where it began for me because pretty soon I was obsessed, too, and that's when the idea of my "Nancy Drew" game hit me. I liked Nancy's character, but I'd always wondered what she was like as a kid. So, I made up a game where Nancy was my age, had a bajillion sisters, and went on crazy adventures with some of my favorite characters from my favorite movies and TV shows. The "og's" include the girls from H2O, pretty much everyone from Lord of the Rings, and the people from 24. More recently, I've decided to add in Harry Potter, Supernatural, House of Anubis, and the characters from Cassandra Clare's Shadowhunters books, so keep an eye out for them in season 2. Even though I no longer play in the backyard, I still think this massive story I came up with when I was a fetus is wacky, wild, and extremely creative. So, if you like feeling nostalgic, sit back and enjoy this whopping hunk of fanfiction. :)

Oh, another post-apocalyptic story? How original, right? Pft! Look at ya... sittin' there with your smug, arm-chair critic opinions; puffin' out your chest like you're the final boss of good taste. "It's all been done before." Oh, no shit, Nostradamus. So has fuckin' breathing, but here you are, still doing that. The delusion is palpable, my guy. You think your limp-dick cynicism makes you clever? You think you've got the range to shit on this demon slaughtering, blood slick, chaos drenched fever dream? Fuck you. You don't know shit. You definitely don't know Sky King and Ezra Black. If you did? You'd be swan-diving into this bangarang mayhem. But hey, no pressure. Nobody's stapling your eyelids open. You wanna ghost out? Bye! This isn't a fucking sleepover. This is volitional havoc, baby. We're not here to beg you. Ezra and Sky? They're two majestic slaughterhouses who have been Crane kickin' existential horror in the dick since they were seven & eight. You ever see an eight-year-old tear a demon's jaw off with his bare fuckin' hands? You should. These two were goin' full Mortal Kombat on demons. Bare-knuckle survival in a nonstop horror gangbang of blood, viscera, fangs, claws, and absolutely zero goddamn hugs. No bedtime stories, no parents, just rage boners and annihilation. Cut to the now. The boys are knocking on thirty and they're incorporeal. In a world they shouldn't have survived, they Detroit Smashed that shit into the goddamn pavement. Yeah, they shook it down in the most disrespectful way possible. Savage intellect, weaponized charm, and pure, unapologetic carnage. The last remaining relics of a time when people had balls. Sure, maybe their moral compass is more of a "suggestion" than a "guiding principle." Who gives a fuck? If you were expecting some virtuous, noble bullshit, I don't know what to tell you. Wrong story, pal. *Cue the goddamn soundtrack* (Now let's rip that fourth wall down and go ride this motherfucker into the sunset!)
