Scarlett's life gets ripped apart when two of the most dangerous mafia brothers break into her home to shoot her brother, Antonio.
She knows that they, especially Giovanni, won't just let her go to tell the police what he did, especially after he had already been sent to prison for a year, thanks to her brother's betrayal, therefore she wakes up in their mansion and under his watchful eye.
She resents Giovanni for the death of her brother, but once things slowly start to make sense to her, about her brother and what he was involved in, and the more time she spends with Giovanni, she learns that her brother wasn't so innocent like she thought he was. She learns that he kept secrets from her, secrets that led to his death.
She also realises that Giovanni isn't such a monster she thought he was and so she finds herself working with him to try and find the truth to her brother's sudden betrayal toward Giovanni but the things they will discover are things that should've stayed in the dark.
