Although she still deeply cared for her flesh and blood, her feelings competed as she abhorred her family's principles. Her hate for her brother's Confederate opinions and her will to fight for freedom for all could drive her to take the lives of those opposed to her -including her twin brother- but does that really make Evangeline a killer?
