It's Friday the 13th. Magnus is late for work. Again because of his cat. He's locking up his apartment when he gets a phone call that he's been fired. Alec was supposed to move into his new apartment that day, but the landlord left him the wrong key. Alec has been sitting on the stairs outside the apartment for an hour and a half. This is the moment when their paths cross. NOTE: So it all started when I saw this picture. I immediately put aside the other 2 stories I was writing, and started this one. I look into his eyes and there are the stories. This pic is driving me crazy. (The pictures used in this book are taken from the internet. Credit to the rightful owner.) (I don't own any of the characters. All belongs to Cassandra Claire. The story is my own, it is not related to Shadowhunters. I only use the names to make it easier to relate to the story)

Alexander Lightwood was a rather peculiar man in his little town full of little people. No one tends to pay much attention to him, apart from a certain cocky woman who was set on winning his affections, something that Alec definitely didn't want. And when his adoptive father goes missing during a journey to buy supplies for his inventions, he sets out to find him. Magnus narrowed his eyes. "You're using your concerned voice, which I hate." "You're getting a partner." Magnus sat up straight. "What the fuck, Ragnor?" "I know, I know," Ragnor said, holding up a hand. "Just hear me out. He's transferred from Los Angeles and nearly got himself fired. His father's an old friend of mine - Capt. Lightwood. I've known the kid since he was in diapers. He's a good cop. Smart. Passionate. But... a bit of a loose cannon. Kind of like someone else I know, back when they used to wear more eyeliner than sense." *** The first week had been... rough. They were both stubborn, with completely different work ethics, which had left its mark on their first days together. On top of that, Magnus was still upset about having cut his vacation short. They started with easy jobs - like the occasional drunk who thought urinating in a public fountain was a protest against capitalism. Magnus breezed through the days with detours into half the bars and cafés in the borough, calling them "informant check-ins." Alec called them "wasting police resources" under his breath. The second week was a tiny bit better. By the third week, they even laughed. Many thanks go to my lovely beta, Nurisiliel , who helped me a lot with editing 💗 and tirelessly corrects my unnecessary spacing, my overuse of capitals, or lack of them, and my sometimes messy sentences. The place has such an aura that of course my Malec writing brain cells almost exploded. I started writing this the same day, during my vacation. I was going to write a oneshot...but by the end (as usual) I couldn't stop. It will be 3-5 chapters, but this time they will be shorter than usual - about 1K word / chapters. ⚠️ Warning 🔞 The story is ONLY for ages 18 +. This is adult content. I can't deny it, the atmosphere of the place turned me on...and it turned Alec on... also Magnus, of course... **** English is not my first language. After almost 4 years, Cass is now back in town. Alice falls deeper in love with her, as Cass has a little crush on her. She thought this time, it will all go well. She would be dating Alice and everything's going to be fine. But when she met Rebecca, and saw that she still loves her, everything got way more complicated than before.
