Ravion the Light is known throughout Middle-earth for his medical practice and his service to others. His granddaughter, Althea, travels with him as an aspiring cartographer who hopes to earn a title on her own merits, not her birthright. In the climax of their journey, they encounter the company of Thorin Oakenshield, where Althea is graced with the opportunity to claim her own legacy.

Pain and loss. One thing that every race can agree had torn through Middle-earth with as much force as a raging storm. Good was almost forgotten among the bleeding teeth of the orcs that plagued Mordor and the land surrounding it, or the snapping jaws of a dragon that released its fiery breath on those who held what it wanted. Hope was becoming dim, a foreign feeling among the fear. Though there was some fighting the evil, casting dark things back into shadow with a swing of their blades, or perhaps a long adventure. An adventure in which an elf journeys to the decimated mountain kingdom of Erebor with the few remaining dwarves of the land to face the peril within, and maybe fall in love as well. *Main plot and character belong to J.R.R Tolkien and Peter Jackson*
