A subtle, knowing smile plays on her lips, a hint of amusement as she observes the exchange. Her eyes, a striking shade he can't quite decipher in the dim convention lighting, move from her friend, bubbling with joy, to him, the object of so much adoration. It's a fleeting, almost imperceptible shift in her demeanour, a mere flick of her gaze, yet it's enough. It captivates him instantly, pulling him in with an unexpected force amidst the predictable chaos of the day. A spark, unexpected and intriguing, ignites in the back of his mind.
