Amalia seems to be the type to be bold and out going. She's already quite independent at age 21 as she's earned so much with her artistic talents but she's never experienced love in her entire life. She seems to find it strange when she develops interest in a man for the first time and doesn't know how to deal with it...

Kai on the other hand is a man with lots to hide and has had tons of love experiences but his last one ended when his girlfriend committed suicide. Amalia reminds him so much of his deceased first love that it scares him that she might end up like her. He tries to pull away but finds himself getting tangled up in her life and slowly becoming interested in her.

His life after his first love's death has been nothing but a roller coaster and he doesn't want to pull her into that but it's just so impossible to resist her...
