"Steve please. Don't push us away" Her strong voice softened as she stared at Steve with furrowed brows and a pleading look in her eyes. Steve couldn't lift he's eyes off the ground, fighting with himself to go back, to run into her arms and never leave; but he knew if he did, he could never be Captain America again 

And the world still needed Captain America. 

"Steve," He finally looked up to meet her eyes "If you truly want me to leave, then I'll go." He felt every defense he built up break down as she slowly started walking towards him. 

He knew she would never force him to do anything, and that if he asked, she would bring the world to its knees. She reached her hand up and caressed his cheek with so much care he melted into her touch 

"But you don't have to fight this alone my love" He stared deep into her beautiful green eyes and let himself get lost in the forest that thrived in them. 

He turned his head and placed soft kisses on her palm, placing his hand over hers and intertwining their fingers. It was time to choose his path; to let this amazing woman lead him into the unknown, or to run back to the only thing he knew. 

In his heart, he knew the decision was already made.
