Wilbur Soot is a young man who does not know what his path in life truly is, yet is hanging to the thread-of-hope that the revolution he has sparked will lead him somewhere new. When he visits his father and siblings again for the first time in years, Wilbur doesn't know the true relevance of what is about to happen.
Meanwhile, the rest of the SMP is dealing with the chaos the formerly mentioned young man has started. Dream, who holds a power not easily named; Sapnap, a war-god of the SMP and George, a peace-loving diplomat who somehow managed to become friends with them both make up the Dream Team, a faction - that rules the Dream SMP - intent on quenching any rebellion that might take place. Tubbo, a mischief making young boy with a heart of gold, and his aunt, Captain Puffy, have just landed on the shores of the Dream Team's eastern edge, and when 'The Minecraft' (the great captain Philza's best ship) docks at the same port as them, said young boy will meet someone who will change his life forever.
And while this all happens, a mysterious time traveller who goes by the name of Karl seeks to right the events that will change the course of the universe forever.

The small vacation Dream took seemed to pay off in the end; almost as if it were fate.
Dream had traveled to George's house in the U.K. They hear the screams of a family argument outside.
As the yells got more heated they went outside to check, only to see what appeared to be two teenagers being yelled at; one of them - the taller of the two - had gotten a suitcase shoved into their arms.
The rest of the family other than the one in the suitcase drove away quickly, leaving the crying teen on the sidewalk to fend for themselves.
Why Dream and George helped was beyond them; they hated kids! But something in their hearts reached out to the weeping child on the side of the road.
