They didn't know of each other's existence, in person. She knew the eagle. He knew the owl. They had never faced the other, memorized a feature. She hadn't known his eyes were a million lively meadows. He hadn't known her hair were soft threads of golden satin. Not one feature could they memorize, as they had not laid eyes on the other. Yet a simple look could change it all. He was sick, she was the remedy. She was the peas, he was the pod. They completed each other, like a new moon and full one.
