But of course, the dark forces will seek to snuff out any potential light at the end of the tunnel. Dialga, now gone primal, seeks his own self preservation, even if it includes commanding a Pokémon suffering through grief to do his bidding. Learn of the story of the Pokémon of the future, of the Treecko who would partner with a human to change history, of how friends would turn into enemies and how things played out from their perspective. The plot of this fic is loosely based on the ROM Hack "Special Episode 0: In A Dark Past", with changes to the tone being somewhat less dark and alternative characters in different roles. There was a connection they couldn't understand, and Flame was determined to keep her away from harm, but at a distance. Secrets will be revealed and memories will be remembered. There are important key elements to discovering a new meaning to what happened to them in their childhood. This involves having to get involved with an evil organization that wants to destroy the world. Happiness will have to wait, since there is willpower that needs to be awaken.
