"If the Terithian people could be described as a small child or lonely lamb, then SWARM would be a hungry lion, lustfully licking its teeth." A small group of people journeyed from Earth to the planet Terith hoping for a more peaceful life. No one foresaw the divisions that would manifest between those who wanted to encourage growth and prosperity for all and those who wanted Terith only for personal gain. SWARM arose like a snake under a rock, devastating us in the course of a few hours. I was caught in the middle, determined to stop them from ruining the only home I've ever known. I knew I couldn't take the might of SWARM on my own, so I recruited my friends to help me. Given aid by them, along with the Varius, a special gift from my father, we were willing to do just about anything to end SWARM. But before I seem like a hero, it might be worth mentioning that this all started because of a girl - I was only human, after all. She was everything I didn't know I needed. I don't regret that it started this way, but I will forever regret what this fight cost me. She helped me realize that a good portion of the evil I was fighting...was hiding in my own heart.

One of the most daunting aspects of making science fictional aspirations real is the vast distances--and nearly insurmountable obstacles--between interesting space objects. Thank goodness for the fertile imaginations of sf writers, who can conquer all. Generational starships have been a staple of science fiction, from crazy metal rockets to hollowed out asteroids. Wormholes and space-bending tubes are always popular with the technology conquers all crowd. Even better; faster than light travel - which may be more honestly classified as fantasy than science fiction proper. Whatever the taxonomy, space is truly the final frontier, or the next frontier anyway. It's a great setting for some good futuristic wattpad stories. "Iao!" The boy's mother yelled as she stomped her way into the Kao fruit planation, she threw the little boy's old beat-up rags at him with haste, it seemed to be that her eyes were watering as she ran into the hut far away. Iao the boy being a feeble little kid took his clothes and walked for days restlessly until he reached the capital, now that he was an abandoned child on the bright yet dark streets of Xelind he had nothing more to do than survive. Every day was a struggle to drink or to eat he had to beg, he was on the streets of countless months begging for a living and barely being alive, his was as thin as a skeleton, he looked like a dead being who was alive. There were times where he was on verge of death due to malnutrition and starvation, only due to the pity of the adults around him he was alive he was fed, washed, and taken care of by the homeless of Xellend. One regular day for Iao he saw a man dressed like a Sound manipulator, the ones from the storybooks that his mother spoke about he thought he had hit the jackpot and would make big money by begging at this man's feet. He rushed towards that man only to receive nothing instead of gaining money or food, the man asked to take him as his apprentice and promised to teach him the art of manipulating sounds. With nothing better to do he accepted the offer to learn about sound manipulation.
