The consequences of Celeste's actions have left Unknowns reeling on both sides of the fight. With Giovanna's aura blanketing the skies as far as the eye can see, Augustus and the others must navigate it without falling victim to her magic. Giovanna, severely injured from the explosion, has to deal with the major setback of having mass casualties as well. With their paths having diverged, in their journey's heading into the inevitable final confrontation, it may be that they are not so different after all.
