Meredith is studying to become a fetal surgeon and is currently 21. she has a mother and a younger sister living back at home but her father left when she was young and lives with her boyfriend Derek.

Meredith and Derek met by chance or so they thought. They came into each other's life when they least expected but life has a funny way of telling people what they need before they truly know they needed it.
