Life is much more precious because you can't do it over again. It can be gone in the blink of an eye, and there's nothing you can do about that. You only have one life, and it'll be over before you know it. So live now and die later. Live fast and die young. Go crazy, I mean, in the end, nothing is going to matter. Not your job, or you finishing school. Not your diploma or how successful you are. Not how many people like you or don't like you. Everyone is going to die and nobody is going to remember you.
Sure, if you do something great you might become a legend to the younger generations. But even legends die. It's kind of in the job description. You have to be dead to be a legend. When you die, they say your life flashes before your eyes. Do you want the life you see to be boring and meaningless, or exciting and filled with wonder? I know which one I want. I don't want to live as an untold story. I'd rather go out in a blaze of glory.

He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle.
