Will one wish bring happiness or destruction?
Ally Spencer has an ordinary life. Ordinary friends, ordinary college classes, ordinary everything... She's tired of having to deal with her "best" friend's constant social drama and judgement, of having the same schedule pretty much every day, and--of course--the lack of any love in her life to speak of. So, when Ally is looking up at the night sky and sees a shooting star, she does something that she hasn't done since she was a kid and makes a wish.
