Call Al Squires many things: a special agent, a crime-fighter, a Magick-user, a mad scientist, a genius, a trickster, a philosopher, among others. Of course, you can also call him not-so-nice things: like 'pompous,' 'annoying,' and 'a lunatic'; but let's not dwell on the negative. However, in this second addition in the Al Squires of the Protectorate series, Al's adding a new name to the list: TIME TRAVELER!

After Al and his new partner/trainee, Norah Navarro, have a 'chance' encounter with a mysterious witch on a foggy night, they're then called to their HQ for an emergency meeting along with the usual suspects.

They then learned that their Division has been asked to help agents from Ouroboros, an ally organization in charge with time travel and anything Time-related, who are tasked to catch a time-traveling serial killer who has murdered four of their agents. It's strikes a definite cord when they find out that one of the victims is Sylvie Parish, the Division's Forensics expert/Ouroboros Liaison/ Al's frenemy.

Of course, it doesn't strike as big a cord than it does with Sylvie, who was right there at the meeting, alive and well!

So, in order to save Sylvie (and the other three) from being murdered, Al and Norah- along with their friends and fellow agents and a few Ouroboros agents- must travel back in time to prevent each murder from happening. However, there is one setback that may prove a hindrance to the mission: The emitter that Al wears that keeps his Lodestone side-affects in check has been sabotaged. That means he has to deal with all sorts of strangely horror-themed weirdness; including (but not limited to) Disco Zombies, Black Magick Hippies, and worse! And he and Norah can't tell anyone about it because the witch placed a spell on them that prevents them from telling anyone this.

So, other than that, Sylvie's going to be fine...right?

A few dark sabbatical years between university studies mark the past of Timothy, who has a few more memories, of a few more things, than he knows what to do with. He is now trying to restart a study path already once forsaken, in a human life that isn't quite his. A young man in a fragile human body, with a vampire's soul. With the start of a new academic year, he finds old acquaintances and new friends. Clover is a witch, with her magical powers equaling those of an oven glove. And she suspects one of their friends to be possessed by a demon. Lavender however is blissfully oblivious of her friend's suspicions and thinks she is losing her mind with vivid nightmares and huge gaps in her memory. Valentina, meanwhile, would be happy with just one recovered memory. She would love to know how she became tattooed, or even just what the Chinese character on her ankle means. But, as some of her friends know, the price of that one memory might be set higher than she is willing to pay. (There are some ethically interesting choices from the main characters, thus the mature rating. But nothing graficly shocking should be included, just a couple of murders discussed that could absolutely not be avoided.) (All characters are strictly fictional. I feel this should be highlighted, for while inspiration is always tied to the outer world, imagination composes a story out of it and colors the outcome with dreams and nightmares.) Myself. I stare at my reflection in the mirror and it's almost like I can see the part of me that's missing. Rafe has claimed that he doesn't care that I can't reach my wolf, that it's a problem that we will solve, that everything will be alright. He can't help me with this though. The Moon Goddess told me it was up to me and me alone, she's given me clues, only I still have no idea what to do. I feel like my soul has been lost along with my wolf, and even though Rafe smiles and kisses me and tells me it's alright, I can't help but think that he's somehow disappointed in me. Disappointed that I can't be what he needs. He needs a Luna, and right now, that's not who I am. And I'm worried that the pack sees that too. I won't give up hope though. I won't stop trying until I've found Kali, until I've found my Luna. ******************** The dust has settled following Rafe and Katarina's recovery. However, neither one of them have been able to relax. Rafe is still on edge about Nolan and the other rogues still running free, and Katarina is consumed with the dread of her missing wolf. She's scared of the unknown and at the moment, the unknown surrounds her. Her child, her wolf, what she and her mate are. All of it is new to her and none of it is normal. Whatever that's supposed to be. Katarina has decided that she won't rest until she finds her wolf again. She will search for her no matter the cost, but when that cost could be her child or mate, will she truly do whatever it takes? Maybe the Moon Goddess has a twisted sense in fate. V1S1- Psych! It's Magnus- Psych! It's Magnus Verse by Mistymay6886

Basically Psych, only with the Shadowhunters cast and mixed with whatever my mind decides to run away with. Magnus has an eidetic memory, he can pick out the most sublet things and follow them to the right answer. He uses it to solve cases, help the police, and generally wreak havoc. Not only does it annoy and embarrass his dad, It gives him a chance to annoy/shamelessly flirt with the gorgeous, though really uptight, head detective, Alexander Lightwood. So, you know, Win, win. Shadowhunters To Psych Characters Conversion: Magnus= (Shawn) Alec= (Lassie) Raphael=(Gus) -Raphael is Ace BTW Simon=(Juliette)-Simon is Pan, just because Luke=(Chief Vick) Also, Magnus' dad is prettymuch just Henry from psych, sorry, I didn't have a Shadowhunter equivalent, So he's just 'Henry Bane' -I know, I know, creativity abounds! -Just FYI, I'm adding these from my AO3 account, so I left in notes if they seemed necessary ( or funny) Note**** Because This is a series it will take longer for things to progress in Magnus and Alec's relationship.Sorry! I don't like to rush the progression. I Know how I'm gonna get them together, but I need to build up to it a bit, so maybe be patient, Please? This may seem pretty ambitious, but I kind of see this series as like each entry reads like an episode of the show. - Each one with have some kind of case, Relationship progression- It may be slow but it will be moving (again patience, please!) Random hijinx- psych style probably at least a few sweet moments leave on a good/happy note- because, at heart I am a bit of a sap and want everyone to be happy ( readers included) Anyways, Here is the beginning. Let's see where this is gonna go, shall we?

Hidden in the Blood: A Novel of the Terribly Acronymed Detective Club (Book 5) by MikeDePaoli
68 parts Complete
By the end of the last novel of the Terribly Acronymed Detective Club, "The Hero Next Time," Al Mackenzie, husband of Rachel, adoptive father to Logan and Emma, was still in a coma after a terrible car accident. This fifth novel in the series opens with a subdued LSDC, three of whose members are injured or out of commission, all of them hoping Al will wake up. Unbeknownst to them, Al isn't just lying there; he's gaining a few insights of his own with the help of a couple of guides, one of whom happens to be the ghost of the man he thought was his father. By the time he wakes, he'll know his real father is alive and still out there, and there's a whole family of half-siblings he'll need to reconnect with. Into this battered and bruised group comes a blast from Al's past: Agnes, a former girlfriend, on the run and far from home, with two kids in tow. Her husband's a cop, and he may have committed a murder, and he's just transferred to the Langley detachment of the RCMP, where Sergeant Joanie Mara, reeling from a betrayal from Joe, is immediately attracted to him, unaware of his past. Joanie, who's always played a supporting role with the LSDC, shines in this first novel to feature her narrative as she takes on the role of media relations officer, outwits a stalker, and inevitably finds herself ensnared in a revenge plot stretching hundreds of miles back to a family used to getting what it wants and willing to kill to get it. If Joanie is to survive, she'll need the help of everyone in the LSDC, even if they're not at their best: Joe, her former lover; Lauren, Joe's wife and a private investigator who first discovered the plot; Rachel, the woman behind Joe's betrayal; Sunny, a family lawyer who helps Agnes free herself from her marriage; Tej, Sunny's wife and a real estate agent, who has her own first-time narrative in this book; and finally, Al, whose new family connections bring him and Agnes back to the place from where Agnes fled, and into the lion's den.

Guns, revenge and buildings to bomb, what could go wrong? ✮ He came in, gun held out in front of him in one hand while the other was resting on his hip where a sharp dagger gleamed in the light. "Come on out little girl, why not make this easier for both of us. The agency you ran away from just want to have a little talk, that's all." She scoffed internally. Yeah right. Then the footsteps ceased. She peeked to the right, then to the left. Neither direction showed any sign of the intruder. She looked up in front of her and gasped, the glint of steel and smell of death as overwhelming as it was adrenaline inducing, exciting. "Boo." ✮ Murder, accidents, assassinations. Call it what you will, it's all the same, all has the same life breaking, mind shattering consequences - be it for the victim or the bystander. It had shaped Alex in a way no one should be. Broken down and rebuilt into the perfect soldier, one who had the power to change the world, to fight battles that would either make or break the carefully constructed vision we all live in. The only small, minute, really unimportant detail - it's pretty hard to get into a government classified site when you're 15 years old and have a rag-tag team of double-crossing back-stabbers behind you. Not to mention the threat of a world war and ghost hanging above your head. Armed with sarcasm, wit, and a hell of a lot of aggressive intentions, it won't be too long till a sticky situation is all that's ahead of you. Sometimes, running head-first into a situation isn't the best idea. Instead, you gotta play a game. A deadly game where either you have all the pieces on the board, or you have nothing. [previously known as Espionage: double-cross] Thanks for reading :)
